Narcs and their pets?

Ok so I LOVE bunnies. Can you tell? ;-)

I have four of my own that I rescued. The monster I became involved with bought a bunny just before he asked me out. It sucked me right in. A wonderful man with a bunny! What girl wouldn't find that adorable?

He ended up buying a guinea pig as well. It wasn't long before I was at his house every day, kind of living with him but being kicked out when I didn't behave.

Anyway, caring for the bunny and the guinea pig was something I just did every day and I bought all the food and everything else they needed.

My question is, can a narc love a pet or an animal? I am so worried about his gorgeous bunny and guinea pig!!! Sometimes he would hold them high in the air under a light and joke about them being under investigation, shaking them and saying "where were you on the night of....?" I told them that doing that would scare them, he argued that I didn't know what I was talking about but then he did stop doing it. He did show a lot of love for the bunny but said the guinea pig was an idiot because it ran away from him. I should've done the same. ;-)

When I left I said to please make sure they both had fresh water every day, etc.... and he said "don't worry, chicks love bunnies, I'll replace you in no time and she'll look after them". Nice one!
