Narc or just a lot of emotional issues? Need help.
Narc or just a lot of emotional issues? Need help.
I just joined yesterday and have been reading tons trying to get a handle on things. I identify with many of the stories here and the heartbreak as I expereinced the same over the past 3 years.
However, I'm questioning if my ex (of almost 2 weeks) is a narc or not. He did some awful things with his lies and cheating. He would always beg forgiveness and promise to change, etc. He would be very attentive, calling all the time, wanting to spend all our free time together. He never called me names, criticized me or ignorned me for any period of time (unless it was the night he was out with someone else). In fact, he was always extremely flattering to me. Did it just not get to this point yet? I was with him 3 yrs. Or is this something that not all of them do? Or is the flatterly a tactic? So confused. I'm wondering if he just has Mommy issues like he claims. He said his Mother is "a real piece of work", but I never met her. Possible she is Narc too?
He just left a message on my work line, crying and upset and can't believe I blocked him on my cell phone like he is a stalker. He "needed" me to talk him down and I turned my back on him he said. He said he won't be calling again.
is he a narc?
