narc mirroring my movements

I think i told everyone recently how i quit work, stopped meeting mutual friends and deactivated FB...basically gave up on the narc and started an NC program

I felt amazing and didnt want to go back

A friend today ruined NC for me when she told me how the narc is also off FB now, the guy who was obsessed with FB, for a long time after D&D he would post crazy songs that had specific meaning for both of us to drag me back...and now he does what i do...

Is it attention that hes craving? very weird unlike narc behavior? but then again, all narc behavior is weird..

I ended up checking if he actually deactivated his account, and lo and behold, he really has,

I also checked on OW, who has now lost weight and looks happy. Felt disgusted and closed FB immediately.

Day ruined. NC always better.

heres a wierd one...

I always drive in my car radio blasting so alot of times when I picked up the phone he would hear and I had to turn it down. He started doing the same thing! I was alway talking about the lake and being on our boat. He went out and bought a boat. Now granted he had owned several boats before but suddenly it became I knew interest again when I entered the picture. I have come to think that they see us as happy well adjusted people so they mimic thinking if I do what she does then Ill be happy too

Gosh, more explained... He

Gosh, more explained... He bought a truck that matched my SUV perfectly - same Mfr, color, trim. I even found it for him online. He had it a year and traded it in last year after he got rid of me. Never thought it was a coincidence, but never really had "proof" it was material til now. Nothing is ever a coincidence with these guys, is it?!

mirroring

oh my lord. Yes, and yes to Susan. We would be sitting on the couch and I would scratch my head and he would do it. I would take a sip of my drink and he would do it. I would look at him inquisitively and he would mock my expression. I have no freaking clue. I think part of it is to demean your self-esteem and your self identity, period. I think he feels that mocking belittles your identity. It's a four-year-old thing. Kids do it all the time. It's like mirroring your words. I swear there were a thousand times I said, "You're cruel" And he said, "You are." He absolutely could not form a sentence stating anything he found at fault with me. I would beg him to tell me what was wrong with me, what he didn't like, and he couldn't. So I'd try to get him talking by saying something I felt was wrong. I'd say, "You don't have time for me," and he'd say, "You don't." I'd say, "You don't kiss me anymore in front of your friends," and he'd say "You don't." So freaking nuts. "I know you are but what am I?" Just like Pee Wee Herman.

My Narc and copying

My Narc started doing everything I did....eating a certain diet, working out, learning certain computer things because I knew them, and on and on. I felt like it was a competition, and I didn't understand why he was copying me. I mean, he's a guy. Then, he started buying things that I would mention I wanted when I had the money. I mean I know it's supposed to be flattering, but I just found it strange. Now, this all makes sense. Maybe he figured he could make a better looking girl than I am, so he is now doing what he does to try that out, too.

Helldweller

Replace all of the you's he starts he sentences with I's and you'll get a clear picture of what he was thinking at the time. Its one big hall of mirrors with inverted images and words bouncing back and forth

Mirroring

The ex-Psych professor would imitate me. It was a behavior my parents and my friends found creepy. Once, I was ordering mocha at the coffee shop, and he did the same (despite claiming caffeine&chocolate irritated his stomach) to "show how ridiculous I was." He'd consciously ape me, and my friends found it profoundly unnerving. He's the only teacher who I've had who needed to GROW UP... and I've had bad teachers. This one was stuck in toddlerhood.
