Narc and Death . . .Just curious

Just curious if any of you made any connections between the N and death of someone close to him. When the N and I were engaged, his father died. I assumed he would feel more appreciative of life and the people who loved him that were still around. WRONG. He started to treat me even crueler.

A few years later, when his mother passed away, and the N and I had recently split up, he actually use his mother's death as a hoovering tool. Really wanted me to go to the funeral with him. I assumed (SILLY me) that he was sad and wanted my support and realizing how short and precious life was . . .WRONG again. One less person to be accountable to. Easier to be even meaner yet.

Interestingly, he never hardly even spoke of his father after he passed away.

Just wondering if anyone made that connection? These un-compassionate souls even mourn differently . . . if you can call it that.
