I have started to realize that although we have empathy, a soul, and the NPD'd and P's do not, although it is a blessing, it can also be a curse when trying to escape from their clutches.

First and foremost you must recognize and acknowledge that the person you have loved or cared for is a hollow shell, void of any real emotions.

That is enough to make anyone want to bail; However, our emotions make us weak to their mind games.

I have chosen to deal with this situation by letting my mind override my emotions and it has helped me immensely.
