Light bulb moment

I just responded to a post asking 'why did you leave the narc?'

I thought a while as there were many reasons ...but I've never really had to think of one...this was my reply: ( I wanted to dedicate a new post as writing this triggered a real unexpected anxiety in me- hoping more toxic on its way out)

''We need space''

''What?!! Again??? Can we not talk this through??!''

It's at this point I realised however much 'space' I patiently let him have...it would never end. I would unknowingly say something else that would require yet more 'space' or a 2 week break...2.5 week break (not kidding !!)

Just cruel.

Enough was enough.
