After a year of verbal abuse (you're too fat-I now weigh 107), you look old, (I now dye my hair, had cosmetic surgery), let your hair grow out, etc.
I didn't know that he was living out of town with another woman, because he owned multiple properties in town. When he eventually told me about her I BEGGED him to tell her. I even started on medication and therapy to keep going. I literally walked out of a job one day. I was at my wit's end.
After one year of me doing everything for him, him doing nothing for me, I fell down his corridor condo steps. He berated me, left me there injured and went into his condo and started washing towels.
I was injured, made my way into his condo. He was upstairs in his two level unit. I told him I thought I had a concussion and back injury. The only assistance he gave me was to drive me home and let me drive myself to the hospital with a concussion and a back that may never heal. As a 54 y.o. daily runner, that was devastating news.
I finally called the other girlfriend, after one entire year of his lying, telling me that he was going to tell her. She is Filipino, very submissive, and I told her the entire story. She kicked him out, but took him back several days later.
Tuesday is when he told me he was piecing his relationship up with the other woman. I tried to kill myself. When my son and a family friend called him at work trying to figure out where I could have gone, he laughed and said I was unstable and was just an affair. He told them to never call him at work again.
Fortunately, I lived, only because I was found unconscious in my car in the parking deck of a local mall and rushed to the hospital.
I know it is over. My depression is very high. I had always handled problems better than most. How did I let this one man destroy me?
