My normal 45 minute commute turned into a 2&1/2 hour drive home. Yuck! I seriously hope my office is closed tomorrow. My son is loving it though and taking a lot of pictures! hahaha!

Blizzard of 2011

Thanks for the concern, onwithmylife! Yes, it's crazy here. Mayor Daley has been all over the news today with the city's plan of action for the "Blizzard of 2011" as it is already being called. The winds are insanely strong. A friend sent me a text that he was stuck and had to abandon his car! I'm hunkered down for the duration. I went to the grocery store yesterday to stock-up, thinking I was smart. Apparently, everyone else had the same idea though so it was jam packed and frustrating. I almost got in a fight with some guy. You know how at the grocery store, you have to let people walk in front of you sometimes? It's a give and take of courtesy when it's packed, right? Well, I thought I had the right of way so I walked and this guy walked right into me. I said, "excuse me" and he said "NO, EXCUSE ME!" Ouch, tensions are high. The wind is howling! lol

for Lisa and all in blizzardsville!!

Hi Guys, let me know how your peaceful day went today, Wednesday Feb.2,2011,thinking of you my friends stay warm............how much snow did you get? I know what you mean Lisa, about people freaking out at the grocery store. I use to live in the D.C. area many years ago as a kid growing up and when 3 inches of snow fell, the whole city shut its doors and people packed the stores, thinking it would be their last meal.
