Friends gave me shock!

Was told by my friends and son and his girlfriend that my Ex Narc. tied to isolate me! We didn't I see it???? They told me everytime they were in a room with me, if he was there and he was behind me he would give them dirty looks to make them feel uncomfortable and they would leave!! Was that a form of him trying to isolate me or just being an ass? this is the first time anyone has ever told me he was doing this!

I think it's so interesting... your friends only come out with things towards the end or after he dumps you... That they never liked him or that they think he never liked them.... I think not liking you friends is the first step to your brainwash. Once he cuts them off, you will socialize with his "friends", so soon you will have NOBODY to trust and the crazy making can start.

he doesn't ever hang out with friends, he doesn't really have any! He is a loner, but hates to be alone, think that's why he keeps his kids close.

Same here

The ex-Psych prof wanted to isolate me from my friends... but I stayed with them anyhow. One of my friends was SHOCKED during the final D&D when I told her that the ex-P wanted me to reject her. It floored here. Here she was, thinking I was his obedient zombie, and I had NOT dumped her. My friends didn't like him, and said I wasn't happy and myself around him. They said this during the final D&D (as well as before that) My friends couldn't stand him. As for his "friends",I never met them. I wonder if they were imaginary.

Good evening!

My friends only started telling me what they saw toward the end and after. It's quite possible that I spent so much time defending him and making him out to be the love of my life that they just kept to themselves. My closest told me she was close to intervening but I came to her first. I also have been known to give the appearance of "I am fine, no problems, I can handle it."

I never knew he was doing

I never knew he was doing this! he would give me dirty looks if i said or did something he didn't like, all he had to do is look at me and I would put my head down and it was like a dog tucking it's tail between it's legs , that's what it seemed like I was doing. But no one ever told me they got dirty looks from him, if another guy made a comment about me, he would smile at them and give me a dirty look without them seeing it.
