Does my boyfriend sound like an N?

We've been dating five months now and I'm contemplating if it's worth continuing this relationship. At first he seemed normal, but as time passed i start noticing bizarre behavior.. Girls, what should i do with this freak?

Isn't concerned about how I'm feeling or my opinions. He will revert every conversation back to something about him. i feel invisible around him.

He hates holding hands, or any form of touching. Extremely scared of showing affection in public.

NEVER talks about his family, unless it's to say something horrible about them. Doesn't buy his parents or anyone gifts, not even annually!

My cat is PETRIFIED of him and i have suspicions that he may be abusing her. I've seen him treat his parents dogs cruelly.

Cannot take any insult, yet he spends most of his time being bitchy about everyone and how far superior he is to "average people"

Refuses to get a job and leeches from his parents. I told him to get find employment, but he simply replied "Working is for suckers"

Narc or not a Narc.... If anyone dared touch my defenseless pet, I'd claw his f'in eyes out myself. Tell him to talk a long walk off a short pier!!!!!!!!

Run, run, run!

Abuse of animals is a red flag that a person is a psychopath. A big one. Please look it up- normal healthy individuals don't hurt people or animals. The fact that he hates his family gives you a clue that his family of origin may have been dysfunctional or abusive. If he can't take constructive criticism, he's heavily invested in his image. If he doesn't care about your opinions or feelings, he lacks empathy. This is by far the worst part about being with a narvissist- you feel invisible because you are invisible to him. It's all about him. Everything you said is on the red flag list- everything!

I think one of the difficult things about narcs is they can be sly and red flags show up . This guy has blazing red lights flashing as far as Im concerned. I wouldnt even tolerate this guy as a neighbor much less a boyfriend

Yup, narc alert! Anyone who treats animals cruelly has sociopath tendencies and lacks empathy - THAT alone is a HUGE indication and red flag. Nothing you described makes him sound like a boyfriend worth holding onto and everything you described makes him sound like a narc. RUN and don't look back. And don't be fooled if by you ending the relationship all of a sudden he begins showing interest in you where there once was none. THAT is called a 'hoover' and its only intent is to suck you back in. You found this site for a reason, pay attention to your instincts. It has been my experience that animals instinctively know about peoples' character and can read people's energy fields. If your cat is 'petrified' of him, I am certain there is good reason. Welcome to the forum.

"Isn't concerned about how I'm feeling or my opinions." Enough said. This is all you need to know. Dump him. And feel good that you did. You will save yourself a ton of heartache.
