Discussion on d and d

In a sentence I told him to fuck off, did a month and a half NC, let him back in and ne d and d'd me with blank emails.

My question to the forum is..

Is it better to have had the N/P d and d you

OR

Have gone NC on the N/P whilst they were still in touch

and why :)

Having done both situations I am feeling pretty shitty and just wondered others thoughts.
