Did Our Thinking Attract Them?

I personally believe that my outer manifestations are a reflection of my thinking. The conditions I've attracted my entire life were reflections of my negative and insecure thought. When I'm dead honest with myself, I can admit I attracted sickos because I was a sicko in the sense that I had low self esteem, negative self worth, a negative self image, shame, plus numerous other thoughts around unworthiness. Like attracts like with the difference in this case being someone capable of empathy and compassion (me) vs. someone incapable of it (narc).

The energy I put out in the universe was like honey to a bear and in this case, honey to a scorpion. I've totally underestimated the power of energy; I think it is everything. N's are masters at zeroing in on the wounded, needy and vulnerable. And yes, sometimes they zero in on healthy people who may jump ship sooner than a wounded soul or they could also be dragged down to the pits of hell.

It's time to refuse to think about failure and lack of success. I'm going to have to fake it until I can make it but, it's the only way for me. I really need to change my thinking and eliminate all those limiting and self destructive thoughts. Without a doubt, those horribly painful experiences would never have happened had I not previously healed my childhood and daddy issues. There's an old saying, "it is done to us as we believe" and that's what happened.

Psychos serve a purpose: they are here to help us out of our self-imprisonment/limitations and they do it through abuse. Sorry that it had to be such a painful awakening but, at this point, it's whatever it takes. We either do the inner work or the opportunity to learn the "lesson" will be presented to us again and again. Lisa's steps are a great tool.
