damn it i broke NC, but he was asking a legit question about child support..

So I feel bad b/c it has been like 10 days and I was feeling good about it. But he wanted to know if there as a problem with the child support chq, but he could have just waited it out right? I just havent taken it to the bank, but plan on it today.

or maybe he just wanted to know I was still there.. anyone have any theories?

It does not matter what his intentions were in contacting you over this. What matters is that it caused you to over analyze his motives. This is why we have no contact. They put us back into obsessive thoughts mode. How much time have you spent today on this one simple question from the N? He threw the question out to you and walked away to forget about it within 30 seconds. For you i would bet to guess that you are still analyzing it and breaking it down word by word. You may do this for the next two weeks. This has taken the focus away from you again and put it on him. He has kidnapped you and is holding you hostage once again. Break the cycle now. Do not respond to him anymore. This is not a reason to have contact. If you don't receive the child support then that is reason, but follow up with a third party to get it rectified. Not you....xoxo only one way to go...Forward (tm?)

Dont beat yourself up....

I've broken NC many times...we're NORMAL human beings and we get side tracked every now and then by giving them the benefit of the doubt and treating them as if they are too...but, then *DING-DING-DING!!!!* we wake up and realize, it's just one of their tactics and just a "fix" for their NS.
