When they do that "stare" or

When they do that "stare" or that "seductive gaze" or apply that chapstick while looking at you... I really think they are doing that magical thinking. I seriously believe that they think that if they look at their prey that way and tell themselves whatever "mantra" (they are so great that they can actually send subliminal messages) that they can hypnotize us/people into wanting them...LMAO, I really do.

those eyes

WE are the ones who magically thinking "maybe they're normal" far too too many mistake that reptilian gaze for emotional or sexual intensity... when it's not even close ~~~~~~~~~ Moving Forward: Coaching for Victims Pathologicals Feelings buried alive never die. - Alice Miller

Everyone noticed but me...

The ex-N in my life was considered an emotionless robot/monster by everyone else but me. His emotional numbness scared people off. In fact, he thought more highly of those who deemed him a monster than those who respected him as a human. He had a reputation for being mean and a bully... and he reveled in it. One of my friends (who is neither evangelical nor Pentecostal) called him the Devil. This friend isn't even religious. There was an emotional deadness in his eyes. It creeped everyone else out. He'd tell people to read things "without emotion." He saw the practice of philosophy as renouncing emotion (that came from taking Ludwig Wittgenstein literally, but Wittgenstein was an emotional person, to the point of chasing Karl Popper with a hot poker) Some people in one of his classes compared him to Jack Nicholson's character in "The Shining."

eyes

It's been discussed on the forums before...the 'reptilian gaze', etc...creepy stuff! My ex would do this cold stare when he was mad at me and giving me the silent treatment. I remember one time when we were living apart we got on MSN webcam, there was something definitely wrong...he was just sitting there, staring in a contemptuous way, drinking alcohol ~ he would not answer me...just glaring. We weren't fighting or anything. I don't know how long it took for him to respond, it seemed forever...CRAZY! It freaked me out; I should have run sreaming then!

Rasputin!

Had to laugh when I saw that picture! Mine had very hypnotic eyes on occasion and I would always comment on it, because I had never noticed eyes like that on anyone in real life(but it wasn't real life was it?) I also saw the dead-robot like stare once, too. Spooky, spooky, spooky!

Creepy

The body language was more of a "tell" than the eyes. The way he conducted himself. One could tell if he was guilty, sad&hiding something, or if he was angry. And then the deny, deny, deny. He'd walk stiffly, looking down his nose at everyone else. I had a hard time reading his eyes... it was like nobody was home.

John Mayer!

John Mayer! You know someone I really enjoy as an artist but think might be a flaming narc is Adam Lambert. He definitely has the hypnotic stare. I always thought he was being fake when he sucked up to the judges, etc on American Idol and fancies himself to be quite clever. I do like to watch him perform though!
