I've FINALLY had a happy experience

I'm taking a Coastal Navigation course at a school that is serious re sailing. The homework this week, after class 1 with a study map, was in part to: determine the variation of the True and Magnetic bearings and deviation between compass reads and what compass should read. We were told to create a course from x to Y and give the Latitude and Longitude of the trip, to figure of where we would be by Y O'clock of we left by X O'clock.among other questions.

The study maps are out of date maps the size of a dining room table. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to start answering the questions yesterday, on the map, and reviewing them today and correcting what I indicated yesterday. I learned so very much I can't even believe it!! Had my Narc been involved he would have been screaming at me and demeaning me that I didn't know how to answer the questions right in the first place.

This was the happiest experience that I've had in a year!!. I guess healing IS possible. At least I have hope.
Now if I can play the Blues on my harmonica, that will be breaking the last link. Wish me luck!
