His smile

Hi, my child has tooth cavities and one of her teeth has been extracted. I want to know whether there is any way to reduce the number of cavities? I was advised by my friend to use fluorides to rinse my mouth. But as a bit of preface, my daughter is a survivor of leukemia. As part of radiation, her bone density is lower as compared to others. Her teeth are misshapen and have short roots. I am planning to undergo root canal treatment procedure from a clinic in Toronto ( http://www.centenarydental.com/root-canal-treatment/ ). As my friend suggested, I have made her chew sugar-free gums, brush twice in a day and to use Listerine which contains more fluorides. Moreover, she has started drinking 4 glasses of milk a day. She has even reduced her soft drink habit too. Will this steps help to reduce her teeth decay?
