Advice For A Single Almost Middle Aged Lady

I am 36 years old. Two reasons as to why I am still single: I took the career route where I've had some success, and LOTS of failure! Plus my N 14 years ago left me completely drained, and other men I have met since behave just like him. Although my ex made a fool of me, I was able to see the signs in the men I've met since, and told them all to scram before the first date. I've been dateless (other than speed-dating) for 14 years. I want a family now. Has anyone started late, or wished that they had? I need advice, and cheering up. May God bless us all!
