6 months NC

hi everyone! just stopping in at the one place I can tell anybody that today marks 6 months NC from the last narc in my life. I haven't been around the forum much-- finally taking all the advice to work on me. started psychotherapy, working on projects I shelfed in pursuit of distractions, and generally just trying to live with integrity. what a long, strange trip life is!

I hardly think about the jerk anymore, and when I do, I say this prayer: "he is a human becoming. help him to become." (please note, that it's not ME that can or wants to help him!), and I just release him and the thought up into space. fly away and let me be!

btw, that particular prayer is very powerful, and you may want to try it out. say it for yourself when you catch yourself falling into old mental or behavioral patterns that need to evolve. say it for others who try your patience, or who entice you to try to change them or their lives. it's all up to each person to grow in their own way.

thanks to all the members here for helping me wake up to not just NPD, but to the void I was trying to fill in myself by seeking his approval. this site has opened many doors for my growth.
