"Creep" by Radiohead
"Creep" by Radiohead
Sometimes this song is interpreted as being from the point of view of someone who loves someone else so much they are just overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to be with them. But I now see it as a great illustration of the mind of a narcissist - or at least the TRUTH of a narcissist.
Yes, they ARE creeps and deep down they know it. And yes, they "don't belong here" because it's all a based on fraud.
I particularly like the lines:
"I don't care if it hurts, I want to have control.... I want you to notice, When I'm not around..."
They want to be in our heads FOREVER! Unbelievable.
I'm also including a link to the video on youtube:

Creep:
"When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
And I wish I was special
You're so fucking special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so fucking special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
She's running out the door
She's running out
She's run, run, run, running out
Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so fucking special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here"
You are right, they do want to be in your head all the time
Good observation
Journey on...
