You are going to love this story...classic N and what a slap in my face!!! So we wound up talking and he came over after not seeing each other for 4 months and we slept together. My stomach was in knots prior, during, and after. It was so unbelievably UNEMOTIONAL on his part--porn sex. Our divorce will not be final for 8 more months and he has been living it up. Traveling everywhere and going on boats, to Europe, tanning, at the gym...you name it. He told me "I haven't grieved over you. I think of you a lot but you know we have different personalities." Just no emotion. When he saw my apartment he said, "Wow. I'm so proud of you." His wife leaves him and he's "proud" of her!

Two days later was my birthday. I asked him "Do you know when my birthday is?" He said, "Of course I do, I didn't get hit on the head that many times, it's May 19th!!!" So he leaves to go to the gym after hanging out for a small amount of time...still I can't cramp his schedule after all this time of not seeing each other!! So two days later my birthday arrives...and guess what? No call, no text, no card, nothing. NOTHING. At 11 PM I send him a text that just says, "Wow." He instantly responds: "F*CK! I'm sorry. I've been thinking about it for the last few days. Happy Birthday Jodie." I am his wife mind you! I called him the next day and told him he better get creative and make it up to me and how hurt I was.

He comes over that day with a card...with a dog on the front of it. A dog. The inside of the card reads (and I quote), "No matter where you go or what you do you will always be a WEINER in my book! Happy Birthday."

I haven't seen him since.
