Still doubting myself

I don't doubt that my boyfriend was a narcissist but I keep wondering if he is different with the the women he is with know. I was dating someone for a couple months before I found out he was married. He told me he was moving out in a month and even sent me photos of apartments so I decided believe him. Long story short after several months of narcissist behavior and him not leaving I broke it off and yes he stayed with his wife. He has since told me he misses me allot and is NOT in love with his wife but is staying because they have a child together. I see pictures of them all together and they do look happy. I wonder if they are truly happy or is he mistreating her like he did me???
