what about female narcissists?

My friend likes a girl and has for a long time... he tried to kiss her and she got really mad... and didn't talk to him for 6 months and then reappeared when she needed help with her homework... when he asked her if they could date she said no, they can be friends and see if anything develops... and she only goes around him when he helps her with her homework but she invited him to thanksgiving dinner so do you think she likes him or is just trying to string him along to do her homework? She won't even go on a date with him or kiss him, etc.

or is he a narcissist? Would a narcissist guy go after a girl for two years that won't date him?
