Why dont Narc's ever a question directly like we can ?

I had a huge aha moment last night as i watched the movie The Holiday again last night on the television here in the UK.
When you ask a Narc a simple question... they can never seem to answer it at all... the answer that they come up with usually is another question for you or saying something that has nothing to do with what you asked them... or even worse.. their answer contains some blame projected at you !!

Can anyone help me with this...

Im a year out and doing really well , but there a few things i cant get my head around so i still feel quite blindfolded and i want to be able to see things as they are as it will help me move on...
