The opposite of independence is dependence. I just read that and it inspired me to write this post, in honor of independence day here in the states, which can of course be applied anywhere in the world these days.
Think about it. We are celebrating Independence Day here in the USA. This day represents freedom, nothing more, nothing less.............FREEDOM. No longer dependent.
Victims of NPD are victims because they grew dependent of the disordered and what the disordered represented and offered. And through the journey to healing, the most important end result, is freedom. Freedom from their clutches, and freedom from our own self. No longer to be dependent on anyone, or better yet, co-dependent.
Many a life was lost in the fight for freedom. These people who made the ultimate sacrifice, made it because the believed that ALL men/women deserved the freedom of speech, the freedom of religion,to name a few. WE also deserve these same freedoms within our self and our personal life. No one should have the ability to take that God-given right away from you. Fight, just as the many soldiers did, for your cause, because you deserve it. You deserve the freedom that everyone else has. No one on this planet should be given the right or ability to take that from you. No one.
Freedom is priceless, and very much worth fighting for, as many have proven. FIGHT, with everything you have. Do not stand by for another minute allowing the "enemy" to take what is rightfully yours. Claim your freedom back, be no longer a prisoner to his/her hell. Leave them to their own demise and carry away from you one of the most precious gifts that you could ever receive, your own personal freedom.
Happy Independence Day to all here on the forum. It represents much more to us than most people know. Enjoy your freedom..............it's there for the taking.
