I have always tried to use humour to get me through the difficult parts of life, and until now, had found no humour in dealing with my relationshit with Wanna B. However...

My sister was over the other day and copied down one of my cake recipes. She called me this morning to tell me it did not come out right, even though she carefully measured all ingredients and followed the directions.

After 15 minutes of going over the directions, oven temperature, and trying to problem solve, I asked her if the eggs were room temperature or out of the refridge.
"Eggs? What eggs?" she asked. I started to laugh..she forgot to write down the 6 eggs that were needed for the recipe.

Of course she was upset with herself for not proof reading, and even more so because of the cost of the ingredients ..not to mention the amount of time that goes into making this cake, and the disappointing result. It was doomed from the beginning....hmmm, I thought...
just like an N-relationshit.

OMG...my sister just baked herself a NARC cake!

I am laughing at my analogy. She is not. She is pissed at herself for not paying attention. She did say she thought it strange that the recipe did not call for eggs, but dismissed it. She said the cake really didn't taste all that bad, so she tried to salvage it by serving it with fruit and cream, but was it still was not right. She finally threw it in the garbage. LOL! she went NC with her cake!

Oh my stomach hurts....yes, I'll be kind to her. Maybe I'll bake her a cake this weekend, and make a correct copy of the recipe. (but I doubt she will ever try to make it again!)

I think I will rename this recipe NARC CAKE.
