I'm just chatting with an old guy friend of mine from university who I havent seen in a while. The last time I saw him was with my ex, we ran into him outside of a bar in the city where we went to school together. We had briefly chatted and then went our seperate ways. So our convo just went like this:
me: remember that time I ran into you infront of such-and-such bar?
him: yes, if I remember cotrrectly you were with a standoffish gentleman. haha
me: oh, was he??
him: just wasnt a fan of me talking to you I guess. he was pretty short with me.
What an idiot! Another night I was out with my ex and a (very blunt) girl friend of mine later said "I dont like him, I felt like he wanted you all to himself".
And ANOTHER guy friend of mine asked what happened with us a while ago and I startd to reply and said "uhh, I donno...he was kinda.." and he goes "ted bundyish? ya he's a creep."
How embarrassing that he was acting like a friggin possessive creep whenever we were around other people. And I couldnt even pick up on it?? Jeez.
VALIDATION!!!
April 19, 2012 - 8:16am — wshHow wonderful that your friends have validated for you that HE is the "problem" - NOT YOU!
I've also had family, friends, even my secretary for heaven's sake, who only met him ONCE - tell me various things that they saw - "weird" - "got a bad vibe" - "don't know why, but he just creeped me out".
Really helps to remember this stuff whenever having a "bad day" (missing the fake man).
Stay strong & NC
