My therapist has balls!!! Help me set him straight!!

For those of you who havent known...during my therapy when I first broke from the Narc, my lovely therapist made a huge pass at me in his office....I left there with my jaw hanging to the ground in shock...

Anyway...I get a call from him today, (I never went back..this was in Oct.). He starts off saying that my insurance had a glich in it and I owe him over 600 dollars...then proceeds to tell me that he bought me a housewarming gift and was waiting to hear from me but hadnt...he's been thinking of me!!!!!

Again I was stunned!!! I just didnt answer him!!

I just commented on someones post how I dont take shit anymore....but when it came to this...I froze!!!!

Help me think of the right words to say...because he will be calling me back today after he calls my insurance co.

He never did call me back today and ironically I just recieved my statement of benefits from my insurance today...it had all of the dates he was charging me for on the statement...

I will ignore any and all calls from him....

As for reporting him....it's his word against mine. He can always claim that Im some disordered person who made this all up in my head...who knows what he would say to defend himself....

I really dont need the extra stress of this right now, so I will just ignore...
NC for both the Narc and the therapist!!!

Seriously??? You have to be kidding me!!! Tell him you will report him to the State board if he tries to contact you again. I'm SOOOOOOO angry that someone would try to take advantage of you when you were earnestly seeking help. Let me at him!!!

I would also look up the code of ethics for therapists and send it to him. I am sure your not the first so be strong and report him, you may help someone who wouldnt see it for what it is

That is unbelievable! I agree with everyone here....thank God you are so strong though; think of the poor women that aren't. It reminds me of that awful scene in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.....it really takes all kinds!

He needs to be reported. Perhaps the state medical licensing board. May depend on where you live. And realize you are likely not the first to be harassed. You may want to check to see if prior complaints have been made against him. I would also check on whether this insurance thing is legitimate.

I would only contact him via letter saying you are looking into the insurance thing. No mention of his behavior or other things he said. You need to document everything! Good luck. He is a predator and is using his position in an unethical and harmful way.

Tell him you saved saved his message .. His behavior is criminal.. You went there for help.not a date.. Send me the bill and I'll send your message to the proper authorities to report you for sexual harassment..

And with the evidence you just left in that message it will surely more expensive than the 600.00 I owe you..

You tell him that you will be willing to forget the unethical act that he performed in his office, as long as he forgives the bill.

If he refuses. Get the ball rolling and report him the the ethics committee. And don't pay the bill.

He was out of line, you know it, I know it, and he knows it.

Like my Mom always use to say "You can't get walked on until you lay down."

I say report him immediately- do not respond to him! This is criminal!!!! Is he in private practice or part of a group? Also, call your insurance company yourself to see if this claim is legitimate; sounds like a manipulation to me.
