Cancer

December 7, 2007 - Cody was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

In less than one year he has had surgery on his testicle, neck, spine, and brain. He had cancer metastasized to his bone marrow, spine, lung and brain. He had been treated at one of the best medical facilities in the U.S -- at Stanford Medical in California. Sept. 2008, they released him from care with a Hospice Referral. He passed away a couple weeks later.

A quote from this EXCELLENT article about a man's bad character leading to bad behavior, which leads to pain and suffering for the woman in a relationship:

It takes someone like Cody {a good guy, her recently deceased son} to make us realize that good people are worth waiting for.

When you accept bad character, you get bad behavior.

Thank you Cody for being a teacher to me about what good mental health looks like in a young man. I will miss you but always remember what you taught me.

Excellent insight and advice such as this is why I come here every day to read and learn all I can.

When looking for a man, honesty and integrity must be at the top of the list of character traits he must have, in order to hope to have a healthy, happy relationship.

I will insist on honesty and integrity in my next relationship, because never again do I want to be with someone who eventually reveals himself to be nothing but a SCAMMER and a LIAR - after I have given years down the drain to the fool.
