Wes on "The Bachelorette" is a Raging Narcissist

Ok, you know I despise reality television, but I cannot resist watching ABC's "The Bachelor/ette" because inevitably, there is always a character on this show who is a raging Narcissist. This season it is Wes, the bachelor who was rightfully dismissed from this week's show for being a raging Narcissist.

I will gladly take this opportunity to provide America with a real-life example of a quintessential Narcissist by dedicating my blog talk radio show to discussing what makes Wes a Narcissist, as well as how to recognize a Narcissist before you get hurt.

Please call-in and voice your opinion on Wes, who I must thank for painting a very clear picture of what a Narcissist is for the viewing public. As we try to build awareness about narcissism and expose Narcissists, Wes has really helped us in our efforts. Totally....A COMPLETE Narcissist!

I just finished watching that show.....I KNOW, Reality TV is gross but sometimes (like an occassional bit of dark chocolate) I do imbibe. It's not like I pop popcorn or anything, I just sometimes have it on while I'm sewing or cooking...or doing laundry. I'm not throwing "Bachelorette" parties....so I'm not adDICKted, okay?. Anyway, that guy Wes is just simply and without argument, one of the most narcissistic people who are publically and blatantly proud of it. He has a GIRLFRIEND (poor thang) and said to Jillian (when she was questioning his motives) that he "Has to look out for Numero Uno!" (meaning his selfish, Narcissistic SELF) Welllll, if that doesn't say it all, I don't know what would! Jillian had the wherewithall and smarts to boot his stupid, Narcissistic a@@ off the show. He even had "special words" for that fact during his limo ride off the "set". What a jerk. I hope that at some point, we will ALL have the ability to see these Narcissists coming and dodge their bullets before they fire their stupid, dorky guns. neveragain

Okay, so I typically don't watch this show, but tuned in yesterday out of curiosity and caught some of the part where she and wes were having dinner. Oh my gosh, he is so void of emotion, to begin with. She seems very feeling and dynamic. He just has this blank duhhhh stare. He wasn't validating any of her feelings, she so much wanted him to show affection, or any sign of human life, obviously. And I laughed my butt off when he said 'my girlfriend, I mean my ex girlfriend'...something like that. BUSTED! LOL! Oh yes, and that 'numero uno' comment...classic! That says it all. I couldn't stand watching the rest, I hope she gave him the 'cowboy' boot!

You Hit The Nail On The Head!

I want to start with the same disclaimer. Since I consider myself a relatively intelligent gal (about most things anyway), I , too, am a bit embarrassed about watching The Bachelorette. Because of a recent layoff, I disconnected my cable TV to save money and unfortunately, this is the best thing network TV has to offer on a Monday night. Anyway, I think you completely hit the nail on the head! Having FINALLY made the realization that my husband of 20+ years (soon to be ex-husband) is a complete narcissist, I have done a lot of reading on this topic lately and Wes may as well have his picture in the DSM-IV next to a description of the disorder. I was upset w/Jillian last week for not booting his sorry, attention seeking a$$, but perhaps she did his “girlfriend” and his Austin fans a favor. Another week of exposure may be enough to permanently snuff out his “promising” musical career. I kind of like the idea of the guy playing some kid’s bar mitzvah at the Austin Days Inn in 2021 and bragging to the bartender about his big primetime concert (aka the hometown visit on The Bachelorette) and explaining how it will just be a matter of time until he’s headline the CMAs. He really is a rat in the first order.

His comment to the guys

I thought it was pretty telling when he turned to the guys at the rose ceremony (knowing he was going to get the boot) and said he'd be getting a lot of sex now that he was going home. He does seem like an N, as we've all been able to observe him on the show. I think his little plan to get exposure ont his show will backfire on him . I think people grew to dislike him so much for his attitude and behavior. I'll bet some people won't buy his CD because they think he's an ass. I won't, that's for sure.

Glad she got rid of that scumbag. I'm not even involved in the show, and I could feel my blood pressure going up. The sex thing is such a disgusting comment. I'm sure the other guys thought 'bye loser'.

Reality show not my cup of tea

Thanks Admin for the word up on Lisa talk show tonight. Been waiting for that so I will be turning in tonight. Didn't see the reality show myself but other members on Lovefraud.com are voicing much the same opinion as the members here.
